Washington, D.C., commuters got quite the surprise this week when a suspicious looking device tossed into a trash can near a fire station brought traffic to a standstill.
Police called in the bomb squad and a K-9 unit after spotting a blue and black electronic device with exposed wires. Wisconsin Avenue was shut down for nearly two hours while authorities investigated.
The big discovery? It wasn’t a bomb. It was an adult toy.
Police determined the device was an electronic sex pump, reportedly resembling a $300 plus product. No one was hurt, and the roadway was eventually reopened.
Just another reminder that in a city where anything can happen, even the trash can might have a story to tell.
