Researchers have developed an AI framework that allows humanoid robots to execute advanced athletic maneuvers with exceptional agility.

Carnegie Mellon University and NVIDIA have partnered to create Aligning Simulation and Real Physics (ASAP) that allows humanoids to execute moves like Cristiano Ronaldo’s iconic mid-air spin and Kobe Bryant’s signature fadeaway jump shot.

The Snow Moon!

Tonight’s full Snow Moon will have a royal companion as it rises alongside Regulus, a star nicknamed “Heart of the Lion”, in time for Valentine’s Day.

The second full moon of 2025, February’s Snow Moon will appear on the eastern horizon in a blaze of orange tonight (Feb. 12th).

The moon will be officially full at 8:53 a.m. EST on Wednesday (Feb. 12th) and will be best seen at dusk at the moment of moonrise where you are. It will be in the constellation Leo, hanging above the bright star Regulus. The moon will also appear bright and full on Feb. 13th.

Closed For Business?

Shopify, an e-commerce platform, has taken down an online store belonging to Ye, the artist formerly known as Kanye West, for selling T-shirts bearing a swastika.

The T-shirts were available for sale on yeezy.com on Monday, after a local ad featuring Ye that ran during the Super Bowl in some markets directed viewers to the website.

A New Record?

A blowout on the field didn’t deter a record number of viewers from watching Super Bowl LIX.

Sunday’s Fox Sports telecast averaged 127.7 million viewers across all platforms, according to final figures from Nielsen and internal Fox data (that’s up from 126 million in preliminary estimates.)

That’s the second straight year the Super Bowl has an all time viewing record in the United States. Sunday’s game is up about about 3 percent compared to last year’s record setting 123.7 million viewers on CBS (which accounted for 120.25 million of those viewers) and other platforms.

On Feb. 11th, 5 year old Monty won the highly coveted Best in Show prize at the 149th Annual Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show presented by Purina Pro Plan.

The 2025 show marked the event’s return to Madison Square Garden in New York City after a 4 year hiatus from the venue that took the popular dog show to the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center and Lyndhurst Estate following the COVID 19 pandemic.
