Those Broken Records…

An Egyptian man named Ashraf Mahrous, widely known by his nickname “Kabonga,” recently made headlines by setting multiple Guinness World Records, including one for pulling a train car with his teeth. On March 13th, 2025, at Ramses Station in Cairo, Mahrous pulled a 279-ton train nearly 10 meters (33 feet) using only his teeth, surpassing the previous record by 19 tons. This feat earned him the title for the heaviest rail pull using teeth.

In addition to this remarkable achievement, Mahrous was recognized for two other records: the heaviest locomotive pull and the fastest 100-meter road vehicle pull, the latter completed in under 40 seconds with a two-ton vehicle. Crowds gathered to cheer him on as he demonstrated his extraordinary strength, first with his teeth and then by pulling the train with a strap around his shoulders.

Mahrous, a wrestler and president of the Egyptian Federation for Professional Wrestlers, is no stranger to Guinness recognition. He previously set records for cracking and eating 11 raw eggs in 30 seconds in February 2024 and pulling an almost 35,000-pound truck with his teeth in June 2021. His latest accomplishments further solidify his reputation as a strongman with what one event organizer described as “abnormal strength.”
