A Canadian Spa with a hair freezing contest!

In the town of Whitehorse, a 10 hour drive from Juneau, Alaska, bathers dip into the naturally warmed waters at Eclipse Nordic Hot Springs. If the outdoor temps are cold enough, people can make their hair freeze into wacky shapes.

Contest categories include best female and male, best group, best facial hair, and a people’s choice award, and every category winner receives a $2000 cash prize.

The Great Escape!

A TAP Airbus 320 was unable to take off from Ponta Delgada airport in the Azores for four days because of “loose hamsters”.

Over 130 of the little rodents “came loose from their transport boxes” in the hold, leaving maintenance teams trying desperately to round them up before they started nibbling at the aircraft cabling.

Unfortunately, there are tremendous hazards associated with deep frying a turkey, and the worst thing you can do is place a non-completely defrosted turkey in the deep fryer.
